At Least I'm Happy

Oh...the days seem so long,

So boring and so drear.

The saddness in my heart

To my eyes brings a tear.

I feel so depressed

The joy is all but gone.

Perhaps it just might help

If I sing a happy song.

This isn't getting better

I think I should go see,

A doctor and get help

Even though there's a small fee.

He put me on some medicine,

He said would help me from being blue,

And lighten my saddness,

And give me a brighter outlook and view.

A couple of prescriptions,

I went to get filled.

The amount I was charged,

Was to my insurance company billed.

I took the medicine,

Just as I was told.

And within a short time frame,

I was feeling so cold.

Then I was hot and sweating,

All over the place.

My heart started racing,

With a rash on my face.

My skin started itching,

And my mouth is so dry.

The fever is starting,

And it's getting quite high.

Sneezing and coughing,

With heartburn galore.

Constipation is starting,

And my joints are all sore.

Bladder control problems,

Set in pretty fast.

My stomachs upset,

Good thing the gas is all passed.

Uncontrolled muscle movement,

And feeling kind of sleepy.

But heck that's ok,

At least I'm not weepy!

With all of these medicines,

I feel kind of sappy.

I may have a few symptoms,

But heck....at least I'm happy!!!
